Feather AT-9 Trigger
I picked up a Feather AT-9 and it is a cool little gun. You've probably never heard of it, but you should look it up. It is a takedown 9mm carbine and quite accurate for what it is. I didn't really like the trigger, but this is a pretty rare gun so there are no aftermarket parts available. When I took it apart to examine how it functions, I noticed a plunger and spring in the handle that contacts the back of the trigger and this is in addition to the actual trigger spring. I put it back together without the plunger and the trigger pull felt like it was cut in half. I test fired it to make sure it was still safe and I wasn't missing the function of that plunger. Everything worked fine, but there was a load of overtravel on the trigger. I made a new threaded collar and modified a screw to eliminate the overtravel. Once I determined the position of the screw with the least amount of overtravel that still allowed the gun to fire every pull, I Loctited the screw in place. Click on the pictures for larger images.
