Evolution of the Workbench
A while ago my company was throwing away their old trade show booth and luckily I got to it before it hit the dumpster. I use the word booth lightly, because it was basically an aluminum frame holding up a printed backdrop and a table for literature. I didn't have a use for it at the time, but I couldn't let ~60 pounds of aluminum go to waste even though I wasn't into metal work at the time. When I got my lathe and mill, I realized I could use the pieces to make a workbench along with a few stair treads stacked as a table top. This workbench has evolved over about a year and a half as I add to it or modify it. Click on the pictures for larger images with captions.
