AR-22 Barrel Nut Wrench
I wanted to add a free float style handguard to my AR-22. I needed to get the old barrel nut off since the new handguard uses a different one. The AR-22 uses the same barrel nut as an AR-15, so I looked up the dimensions. I took a piece of 1/4" aluminum and milled a slot to clear the barrel. I drilled and tapped 3 holes at the correct locations to line up with the grooves in the barrel nut and put 3 stainless steel screws in them. It takes a bit of force to break the barrel nut loose, but this wrench gave me enough leverage. Click the pictures for larger images.
